Resource Families you are invited to add children in your care to AFFM’s Holiday Gift Giving Program. As in previous years, AFFM aims to assist families who may need extra help with holiday gifts. Gift requests should not exceed $75 per child.
Requests will be filled as resources allow.
The deadline for requests is Friday, November 13th. Late requests may be difficult to fulfill.
AFFM and our sponsors need time to collect and deliver gifts before the holidays.
If you are already receiving support from another holiday program (e.g., Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, etc.), we kindly ask that you consider not requesting gifts through AFFM.
To participate, the child must reside with you.

Ways You Can Help This Holiday Season
Donate Gifts or Host a Toy Drive OR Teen Drive
We need support to make the holidays magical for Maine’s foster, adoptive, and kinship families!
Here are ways you can get involved:
- Sponsor a Child:
Email info@affm.net to sponsor a child or children during the holiday season. Let us know how many children you’d like to support! - Host a Toy Drive:
Organize a toy drive to collect gifts for children. For 2025, we’re planning a special drop-off event for a toy drive and teen drives on Giving Tuesday, December 9th,
at our offices in Brewer, Maine (4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.) & Saco, Maine (1 p.m. – 3 p.m.). Collect gift cards for older teens in increments of $25. Suggested items include:- Walmart/Target gift cards
- Trendy teen items: art supplies, water bottles, perfumes, self-care products, headphones, earbuds, game headsets, etc.
- Fundraise for AFFM:
Start a GoFundMe page and direct the funds to AFFM to help us purchase gifts for children in need. It’s easy!
