- Host a school supply drive
- Fill backpacks for kids in care in your area
- Raise funds for AFFM to purchase needed items
- Collect personal hygiene items
- Collect gift cards for teens to shop for their back to school outfits
- Holiday Gift Giving Program:
- Sponsor a child during the holiday season
- Host a toy drive
- Raise funds for AFFM to purchase gifts
- Collect gift cards for older teens
- Family Fun Events:
- Help AFFM staff during the family fun events. Organize resources, help out with activities throughout the day
- Placement Bags:
- Collect new pajamas, new children’s books, new blankets, personal hygiene products for kids just coming into care
- Volunteer in the Office:
- Help organize the resource rooms and sort through donations
- Spread the Word About AFFM:
- Inform the community about AFFM and the families we serve
- Approach businesses to participate in the Discount Card Program
- Birthday Boxes:
- Make a child in care’s birthday special! Collect small gift cards, boxed cake, party decorations, etc. to add to a birthday box for a child in care
- Diaper Drive:
- Collect new diapers and baby wipes
- Teen Shower and or Baby Shower
- Collect NEW essential items for teens in care (headphones/earbuds, art kits, journals, personal care products, clothing, baby items)
- Lending Library
- Organizing Lending Library
- Back to School Program:

- Become a resource parent mentor or C.A.R.E.S. group leader
- Assist in advocacy and research
- Become a licensed respite provider for foster parents
