Active members will be reimbursed for their participation in committee meetings.
Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine (AFFM) is actively seeking committed Resource Parents to join the Resource Parent Advisory Committee (RPAC). This vital committee provides direct feedback to the Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) to improve policies, strengthen practices, and ensure foster families across Maine receive the support they deserve.
Who Should Apply?
- Licensed Resource Parents, Adoptive Parents, and Kinship Caregivers
- Individuals with an open-minded and positive outlook, ready to consider diverse viewpoints
- Caregivers committed to attending quarterly meetings and actively participating
Your experiences and insights are urgently needed. By joining RPAC, you can help drive meaningful change and ensure that the voices of caregivers are heard at the highest level.
What RPAC Members Do
- Colloborate with OCFS and AFFM to strengthen Maine’s foster care system
- Share experiences and ideas to guide improvements
- Promote respectful collaboration between families, professionals, and communities
- Attend quarterly meetings (virtual or in person)
- Help shape the future of foster care in Maine
