Domestic Violence: Foundations & Effects of Abusive Behavior on Children
Partners for Peace is the domestic violence resource center for the Penobscot and Piscataquis region. This training will address the dynamics of abuse and the impact of abusive behavior on children. Participants who attend will be able to:
- Define domestic abuse and trauma.
- Examine the multitude of barriers to safety that batterers create for their partners and family members.
- Identify the tactics that abusers employ to obtain and maintain power and control over their partners and family members.
- Identify the effects of abusive behavior on children.
Participants will receive a certificate for 1.5 hours towards relicensing
