Junior YLAT is for youth ages 11-13 who have experienced at least one
day of care in their lives.  It is an opportunity for youth to connect
with others\, learn leadership skills\, and begin to understand their te
am that supports them while in care and beyond.  Melissa Allen\, a YLAT
facilitator will lead the group along with several YLAT alumni who will
act as support and mentors to the youth attending.  During the pop-up\
, we will introduce ourselves and practice strategic sharing (learning a
bout what parts of our story to share with others) by doing some favorit
e YLAT activities.  Youth will also have the opportunity to learn a lit
tle about the Youth in Care Bill of Rights and explore what Case Worker
and Gals' roles are concerning them.
